About Us

Who Are We

The Salvation Army Hauora Services specialise in comprehensive general primary care services focused on achieving physical health equity for all people, including those who live with and experience mental health and addiction challenges.

Our Approach

We offer quality and tailored holistic healthcare at the lowest possible price. Our goal is to make a meaningful impact in communities and help reshape society by designing a service that is inclusive and has a positive impact on the broader community. In addition to helping the wider community, The Salvation Army Hauora Services also provides care for residents of The Bridge Programme and Epsom Lodge supportive housing. We aim to provide primary healthcare services that specifically meet the needs of tangata whaiora, who often have complex healthcare needs and circumstances and struggle to access professional healthcare support in a timely way.

History

The Salvation Army currently provides healthcare services to supportive housing and addictions tangata whaiora through a combination of employed nurses and outsourced services, including general practitioners. To strengthen our model of care and support in providing ongoing healthcare services to tangata whaiora and whānau, a new Salvation Army-led General Practice service was established.
